Dear Kepner Beacon Middle School Community,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It is with a mix of emotions that I share some significant news with you. After eight incredibly fulfilling years at the helm of Kepner Beacon Middle School, I have decided to return to my roots and step back into the classroom.
When I reflect on the journey we embarked upon together, I am filled with pride and gratitude. As a founding member of the team that established Kepner Beacon Middle School, alongside my esteemed colleague Alex Magaña, I am proud of the milestones we achieved and the promises we fulfilled to this community. It all began with a call from Superintendent Tom Boasberg, and the trust placed in us has been the driving force behind our collective success.
Leading this school has been a profound experience, marked by meaningful relationships with both staff and students. The memories we’ve created, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the triumphs we’ve celebrated will forever hold a special place in my heart. Kepner Beacon Middle School has not just been my workplace; it has been my home and my greatest professional accomplishment.
The decision to step down from my leadership role is not one made lightly. My true passion and love lie in working directly with students in the classroom. Therefore, I am thrilled to announce that I hope to continue my journey at Kepner Beacon Middle School, staying connected to the Westwood community that I hold dear. This community is not just where I work; it’s where I grew up, and I am committed to ensuring its continued prosperity.
The thriving of Kepner Beacon Middle School and the Westwood community will always be my professional priority. I am confident that the incredible foundation we’ve built together will continue to serve as the bedrock for the school’s future success. I look forward to the next chapter, where I can continue to make a positive impact on the students of Westwood in a more direct classroom setting.
Additionally, I want to assure you that I am dedicated to providing unwavering support for a smooth and successful transition. I will be working closely with Alex Magaña and the entire community in the pursuit of our next school leader. Together, we will identify an individual who aligns with our values and will contribute to the continued prosperity of Kepner Beacon.
Thank you once again for being an integral part of this incredible journey. I am proud of the last eight years, and I am genuinely excited for what the future holds for Kepner Beacon Middle School.

Espero que esta carta lo encuentre con buena salud y ánimo. Es con una mezcla de emociones que les comparto una noticia importante. Después de ocho años increíblemente satisfactorios al frente de la escuela secundaria Kepner Beacon, he decidido volver a mis raíces y volver al aula.
Cuando reflexiono sobre el viaje que emprendimos juntos, me lleno de orgullo y gratitud. Como miembro fundador del equipo que estableció Kepner Beacon Middle School, junto con mi estimado colega Alex Magana, estoy orgulloso de los hitos que logramos y las promesas que cumplimos con esta comunidad. Todo comenzó con una llamada del Superintendente Tom Boasberg, y la confianza depositada en nosotros ha sido la fuerza impulsora de nuestro éxito colectivo.
